Thirty-five leading businessmen met in December 1867 and agreed to found a club where they could fraternize for mutual enjoyment and relaxation, and to provide a meeting place for discussing their own and Portland’s destiny.

Today, Arlington Club, true to its original purpose continues to welcome civic minded leaders from all walks of life to continue those discussions in their clubhouse comfortably nestled in the center of Portland’s cultural district.
